Purité Audio are offering an acoustic room measurement service, we have been experimenting with Sonic Studio's 'Amarra IRC' measurement /correction suite, which is based on DIrac algorithms.
Measuring your room is really useful and allows you to target specific areas which you can treat passively,actively or with a mixture of both .
Dirac bases its target curves on the room and speaker response , so it is a sympathetic correction, it does not attempt to ccompletely alter the sound of your room, results using the software have been extremely promising.

Acoustic measurement tells you exactly how your room/ loudspeaker interaction is affecting the sound you hear.
Once you have the information you can then decide how best to treat any problems, and often drastically improve the sound quality of your system.
