    Yep ,that's why its pishanto , never came with it

    ah, it's a 500 as it's got a phono stage (700 was line only i believe)

    it's also an old one, with the Hinchley transformers so worth fixing if it's not to much money.

    mine is the same thing, but in much better condition, lovely amp

    what valves are in it? if it's el34's then i'd say replace them with 5881's. el34's are known for breaking it...... there are some resistors that are designed to blow, like a fuse, that have been blown on mine (and all repaired too....)

    Spot on advice.

    Anthony TD repaired (replaced the transformers, yep the originals are great but they do go wrong) and upgraded a friends S500 and its stunning.

    Wonderful amp and I for one won't be passing mine on. Well worth spending money on imho.

    No valves are with it , The ones you see are Valvebloke's as it is with Graeme at the moment

    Could you do me a favor ? take some images of your perspex plate and some dimensions see if I can make something
