Default Did Technics change the chassis screws?

I was rebuilding my turntable this weekend using a new plinth (which I have cosmetically modified, I will post pics soon).

When I was screwing in the rubber base, I noticed that quite a lot of the screws didn't fit. Did Technics change the configuration at some point?

(One other thing - one of the long corner screws is stripped on mine. Does anyone happen to have have a spare knocking about?)

    Hi Keiron

I doubt the screws have stripped, they are much harder than the alloy of the deck.

Are you sure the screw threads are not clogged with alloy?

You may have stripped the boss.

Try cleaning the screw with a wire brush or a sharp pointed implement to dig out the alloy from the thread.

    You are absolutely right!

I have two plinths and I thought: what an amazimg coincidence, the front left bolt is loose on both of them. Of course, it is because I've been using the same switch on both. Obviously the plastic thread is damaged.
