Guys,

If you have more than five items to list for sale, please do not post them on separate threads, but condense them into either one thread, containing all the items you have for sale, or inside a maximum of five separate threads. Five, per day, is the maximum allowed.

Otherwise it saturates, not only the trade area, but also the lists of threads contained in any 'New Posts' searches members perform - and not everyone wants to plough through reams of trade ads to find the discussions they would like to participate in.

Following a less than constructive outcome to a review of a supposed 'wonder cable', which due to animosity between participants on the thread concerned had to be closed [details here: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showt...quot-revisited ], in future no trader will be allowed to send products out to members for reviewing, with the intention of 'hyping up' that product, in an attempt to generate sales, whether that member ends up buying said product or not.

In short, there will be no premeditated promotional selling allowed.

If someone buys cables (or whatever) from a trade member, and through their own volition, with no prompting by the seller, decides to review that product, then that will be allowed, but otherwise reviews will not be permitted. This new rule will be very strictly moderated, and any dealers caught flouting that rule in future will risk losing their trade membership.

I would therefore ask that all trade members co-operate accordingly.
