    I'm David.

Default Hello from Western New York

My name is Dave, I'm new to the forum. I'm a long time tubes and vinyl guy, collecting albums for 50 years. I listen to most everything from classic rock, prog, folk, jazz and classical. Most of my collection of nearly 10,000 records dates from 1960's and 70's.
My system resides in a dedicated room in the basement (man cave). A good sounding room approx. 16' by 25'. Technics SL-1200mk2 table with KAB arm damper and rewire, KAB outboard ps, Music Maker 3 cart on a Sumiko HS-12 headshell. Modwright Instruments LS-100 phono and linestage, Marantz 8B amp, Von Schweikert VR-33 speakers and Virtue Audio M1 Piano cdp. All cables are diy. Next to be added are isonoe footers and a new cartridge.
My other vice is the game of golf.

What got me interested in the forum are the custom SL-1200 threads. Many of you guys have remarkable record players!

Sorry to have to break the bad news to you, but they are no longer any good if they are that old. I might know somebody who can dispose of them for you at a small cost .
