Lower shipping cost, higher WAF - makes sense all ways except for the primary purpose.

After some small adjustment to the grilles (removing a mass of hardboard from them) the Leaks are now as close to being unobtrusive as I can manage.

And the song remains the same.
I haven't made any revisions or mods to the Leaks after all. I really can't justify any changes as they sound wonderful as they are.

I only got rid of my last tube amp because I couldn't afford to fix it when I destroyed some valves and a tx with a small football.
I've been wanting back in.
So now the Rogers Cadet III is here and I'm loving it so far. Sound obviously very different to the Sony but not as much of a gulf as you might think.
How can you destroy the tx with a small football
Cadet looks grand
I want those Leak speakers. They are proppa.

Mullard and Brimar doing their wonderful work. This amp really was a bargain buy and to be recommended.

I think I have arrived at my ideal combination. ES, tubes and big Leaks.
So close to the finish here now.
I'm still a massive Philips fanboy but I have been won over by the way of ES.
The fact that this one was an absolute steal adds to the pleasure of course.
