Default Nagaoka MP 200 MM cart

Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying one of these carts and just wondering if it will be okay with my arm which is a Micro Seiki MA-202, the headshell is an MS HS-202 and weighs about 9.5g but I can't find any info on the effective mass of the arm.

The Nag cart weighs 6.5g and my current cart, which is an SAE 1000LT HOMC cart, weighs about 4.8g and sounds fine on my arm but I do have the suplementary weight for my arm although I doubt that I'l need to use it with the Nag.

There's a seller in Japan selling these carts for about $289 inc shipping which seems a decent price?

    Thanks

    Tony

BTW, the seller includes this in his advert "I sell with headshell model (MP-200H), exchange needle." anyone know what this means?

    This is a MP-200H

Is this what you really want?

Sounds like that is just a replacement stylus, not the cartridge. If you want to try Nags get an MP100 or an 11 or 12 first. If you likr that then the ecpensive ones are just more of the same but better refined.

If you have a headshell already, I would buy one without the integrated headshell.
Are you fed up of the SAE 1000 LTalready?

No not fed up Kevin, just want to try a good MM cart to hear one.

The SAE 1000LT is a HOMC.

    Tony,

I was considering an SAE 1000 LT, hence me asking.

The SAE 1000LT is a great cart. You can get an older MP-20 from an Italian guy on eBay for a great price, and he also has the one with the headshell. The headshell is the same as the Sumiko that costs £40.

Actually for that price you can get the MP30.
