Default So, tell us about your user name..............

Don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I certainly think it should be a sticky somewhere.

I'm often intrigued as to the stories behind people's user names - and there's nearly always a story behind every one.
So, why don't you tell us about the origin of the name you've chosen to be identified with on the Art of Sound?

Your enormously self-depricating starter for ten:

The Grand Wazoo - The Big Arse...............also the name of one of my favourite Frank Zappa albums.

My name on my birth certificate (ok it's Steven, but Steve for short cos only folks pissed off with me call me Steven ) minus my middle name.

I know most feel they can't be quite so up-front as is the fashion on the 'net, but we do everything here to discourage folks being totally anonymous to the point that they don't think they have to engage with others here as real human beings taking responsibility along the way for what they write.

Monikers can be creative and identify us as we mean to proceed - which is no bad thing.

    I like this OP Chris.

Mine's from a once legendary Pink Floyd number called 'In The Beechwoods'. A few years ago now, a recording of the track appeared (sometime after I first started using the name) and I got to hear it at last! Pretty funky number in parts to be honest

    I once called a guy I worked with a 'Sheep Sha****g T**t'

The reply I got back was 'That's great coming from a Sand Dancing Donkey Walker'

So there you have it, best insult I have ever received so I thought I'd better get some use out of it.

    Good Morning Marco,
Is there something that you need to tell us? It seems to me that you introduce the subject of wearing frocks into every other posting you make - do you need to get something off your chest () - do tell !
    Cheers.

    Marco.
Come next election there will be loads of jobs for people who answer like that....oops perhaps not thats what has got them into trouble in the first place. Thats a real politicians answer.

My monicker ummmmmmmmm.... I suppose I am a sad old git(who never quite grew up) who quite likes Dr Who and has always loved the visual design (very Art Deco) of the Daleks. I was looking for a change of identity not long after leaving another forum and asked for this name (I did have another name here on AOS...for a while). As to Supreme... ? why be a minion/drone. Emperor would have been a bit big headed (though I am Emperor on another forum)
