It was the SOFC (silver and ofc copper cocktail) with separate earth wire and modified gold phonos.

Way better sounding than the stock Michell silver cable I had on before, which from what you say sounds like the stuff you have on yours.

I just took Jonny's advice Ali, was happy to throw money at him but he said I didn't have to.
Is the Trans-Fi arm still somewhere down the line for you?
If so even just getting the upgraded external cable is a big enough upgrade to see you over I'd say.
