    That's rather nice.

    What is interesting is that this is based around a Japanese-made Numark that pre-dates the Chinese OEM efforts they crank out now. There was a range of three models that were actually decent turntables - the top model was the TT-2400 and it came fitted with a digital speed readout and a special headshell with a flip-down target light built into it. The arm was a special version of the Jelco SA-250 and had a 5 pin headshell mounting socket - the fifth pin carried power for the illumination lamp. This cost nearly twice the price of a Technics SL-1200 at the time!

    When production stopped, the remaining parts apparently went to Vestax and the original PDT series was released not long afterwards.

    Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.

    Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.

    Speakers: Tannoy 15MGs in Lockwood cabinets with modified crossovers. 1967 Celestion Ditton 15.

    Oh, believe me, I'm keeping an eye out! Don't seem to be many around, sadly. Seems everyone bought a Technics instead...
