    Default New here...

    Hi,

    My system comprises:

Musical Fidelity A1000 (Mint / Purchased second hand)
    Arcam CD73
Paradigm 'tower' monitor speakers - can't remember the exact model.
    QED 'Silver' speaker cables (bi-wired)
    Monster interconnects to the CD73

I like pretty much anything and everything but not really a classical fan.

Primarily here (for the moment) to sell my upgraded MF A1 integrated amp - see the relevant board when I'm permitted to post.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Hello Jeremy, welcome to the forum.

I've become a bit of a Musical Fidelity fan since purchasing some of their kit quite a few years ago, so I'm intrigued by what you're looking for that the A1000 doesn't give you - and just as interested in what you aim to replace it with..........?

I think you've failed to grasp the crux of the biscuit Bob - it looks to me like Jeremy is selling an A1, not his A1000.

Doh!.... spot on Chris. Too early in the morning. Apologies to Jeremy.

I'd still like to hear what Jeremy thinks of the A1000 though.....?

The A1000 is indeed a lovely amp and I would sell the wife before selling it. I am a major Class A fan and always have been so it really doesn't get any better than this IMO. I see at as 'for life'. I'm about to pay John Samson (ex Musical Fidelity) half a shed load of cash to service / upgrade it thus I need to sell my beloved but no longer used A1. I've had it for years, looked after it and also had it worked on by John Samson. It needs a new caring owner! There's an ad for it here now with a photo although I haven't decided on a fair price yet.

    Thanks for the welcome.
