I'd like to pay my respects this week by including a digital image titled 'Abandoned'
It is my tribute to my uncle James Haselden of the RAF who died in a mid air collision during 1941 whilst flying out of Brough in Yorkshire. At the time of the collision he was instructing a younger officer whilst flying a Hawker Hart.

    Lest we forget

    Beautiful photo

Yes important week. I have over the last year or so got to thank and shake the hand of a Battle of the Atlantic vet, a Dunkirk vet, a Falklands vet, a nurse who served, who's Dr love died on the Hood, a gent who flew missions over the Netherlands and bombed the Philip's factory at Eindhoven - he hated doing that (he knew he had killed Dutch people and I got the very strong impression this haunts him) but had no choice as the Nazi's were using it to build war stuff.

Each of them, were humble, and very moving to talk to - God Bless them all.
