    Default Sorely missed

During my stay in Cyprus I really did miss a decent sound system.

I am sitting here marveling at the clarity of

    AVRO Klassiek Beste

    http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?...e&PartnerId=16

an MP3 Radio stream at 256Kb/s

Erik Satie - Håkon Austbø - Gymnopédie nrs.1-3 (Brilliant Cl. 92324)

My Squeezebox and Standac really do beat my Quad FM Tuner.

Do others have favourite hi bit Radio Stations?

    Thanks.

I should have taken to Cyprus a good pair of headphones and a decent USB DAC.

I had most of my CD collection on the laptop.

I always take a small Aiwa cd/tape player away with us, when we go on Holiday. Its sins are all of omission rather than commission...its musical. I just could not go a week with out music, its also good for checking out any cd's bought while away. Howevewr I do take a box of cd's with me as well. All low tech... We don't do continental holidays....my wife and I don't like the heat. So Scotland is where we go normally. So we can bring lots of home comforts with us...something you can't do on a plane.

I had a Sony Walkman Pro for years. CDs recorded onto metal tape were indistinguishable from the originals.

I sold it a only three years ago on eBay, but I still have the headphones.

I have never felt the need for an iPod, but as I said have been wondering about some thing like a
