I have been running a MNB in my deck since the MCRU weekend, and it is IMO a serious improvement over the stock bearing.
It brings greater bass solidity and improved inner detailing to the party.
I haven't noticed any timing issues, despite the nonsense posted in some places on the interweb about drag issues.

I had improved the performance of my deck's original bearing by placing an O ring in the bearing well on the chassis, and damping the bearing brought gains in overall resolution.
The MNB brought further improvements again.

Why not give David at MCRU a call about the MNB?

AhHa, so you are not confident I would find a huge improvement. So I will stick with my original thought, unless proved otherwise.
I totally understand that we all have different perceptions, so may I take this opportunity to say that we agree to disagree.

I've had one for two years now so I don't think I have a confidence deficit.

With respect, Clive, you cannot have a true perception of anything in audio unless you've used it and thus gained some relevant experience. In your instance, given that's not the case with the MN bearing, you have nothing tangible from which to agree or disagree with Andrew

Anyone can come onto a forum and voice their opinion about something, however I'm sure you'll agree that the only opinions which carry any weight, are those formed from practical experience, and therefore have genuine credibility.

    No photos.
Just take out your bearing, put an O ring in the bottom of the well, reassemble deck.
The O ring should contact the baseplate of the bearing and the bottom of the bearing well too

Hello, got back from the show just before midnight, up at 7 a.m to un-load the van, it's 10.45 now not even opened it!

Clive it was nice to meet you, hope it's ok for me to say that why would you assume the bearing would not improve your techie and why would you need to sell it to anyone if it doesn't?

You have 30 days to decide then if no float your boat full refund given, fair I would say?

The show offer on the bearing will stand for 1 week between us both if you decide to take the plunge.

    Hope that is ok.

I will post some show thoughts later, good though!

Marco, I understand were you are coming from. I based my comment not on the MN BEARING and in that I doff my hat. I in fact based it on the change of bearing made to a close friends experiences with a LP12. Neither of us could tell a huge difference when he upgraded the part and in fact in some ways preferred the original.

David it was very nice to meet you yesterday. It is always good to put a face to a name. As a reply please see above reply to Marco. Further I would add that my comment re me asking REXTON to buy the item if I did not like it was said with tongue firmly in cheek and if it caused offence I humbly apologise.

As an addendum, I would like to say that having seen and looked at your sample on the stand I can say that the engineering differences are clearly off the scale , the MN Bearing being in a different class to the stock item. The only very minor comment I will make is the finish of the only bit visible once fitted, the top spindle is chromed on the stock piece and of a dull grey metal on the MN. This is probably of no importance to the vast majority of people but on purely aesthetic grounds not to my taste.

As my memory does not serve me well, what was the show discount?
