I've thought on going throughout that route... Doing the DIY audio PS. I have the utmost confidence that Paul Hynes PSU is outstanding... But so expensive! I have my doubts that the money invested on the PSu will have the same return in terms of sound. Normal on hifi.... But it really is expensive for a power supply.

What I might do is put the original PSU out of the 1210 and put it outside. Afterwards look for a kind soul that would lend me a PH PSU so that I can have a listen to it and judge if I should loose love of my euros to invest on the PSU.

Still a lot a things to spend money on

    Hi,

Yes, externalising the existing psu as shown in the DIY PSU thread is pretty quick and easy.... only a couple of hours work and very few pounds. I have my doubts as to whether such a high grade regulated psu us justified on cost/benefit grounds until you have seen to all of the other costly areas. A cheap diy job will get you a long way, believe me!. I honestly think it did more for my turntable than the Jelco, or at least an improvement of a similar magnitude - it's that good!.

Been looking at a Denon HA-1000 HeadAmp....

Any experiences here with it paired with a denon DL-103SA? How would it stand against say the A23 SUT?

In terms of phono stage matching with the HA-1000, any suggestions considering my initial remarks and current system (look at the initial comments).

    Thanks

Just pulled the trigger on a Denon HA-1000 HeadAmp to work with my brand new DL-103SA.

Hope it sounds good but a shame that I don't have a base of comparison.

It would be nice if someone could lend me on of these days an A23 SUT do to a direct comparison.

But before that I have to mount all the pieces and start getting familiar with this new setup.

    I'll keep you posted.

    Last stop -> phono stage

Eeeerrrg... Hadn't a clue on how much did a certain phono stage cost, that I've liked for some time now from past experiences on audio shows and so forth, up until now! Wow!!

Talking about the BAT VK-P10se! Holly cow... So expensive! Guess I'll have to scratch this one from my wish list...

    Off topic:

    Interesting sale http://www.hifiwigwam.com/showthread.php?t=103158

Should be interesting with the 1210 with some mono records. The Jelco 750 is probably not the best fit for this cart... If it were, it would be a tempting purchase!

PS: I'm not related in any way with the seller!

    Hi guys,

Still looking for a phono stage for my system... :.(

    It's been a tough call.

Summing up, the status is (all to be mounted):

    New cart DL-103SA
Heavy weight counter-weight for the Jelco Arm
    Jelco SA-750D
    AudioTechnica AT-LH18/OCC Headshell
Isonoe feet (black anodized finish) w/ subortane boots and glass discs
Arm plate for 750 from Greek ebay'er
    New shuggie mounting collar
    Bruil Weight
    Denon HA-1000

    ------------------------------

My current setup is composed by:
    Jeff-Rowland Model 6 w/ BPS-6 Battery power supplies - power amp
    Jeff-Rowland Synergy IIi - pre
    Monitor Audio PL300
Digital side of the system is irrelevant for this discussion (it's anyway under revision)
    -----------------------

Some of the phono stages I've considered up to know, to which I'd like to have your opinions:

    Leben RS-30EQ
    EAR 834p
    BAT VK-P10se
    Croft RIAA
    CJ EV1
    Audio Note M3
    Fi YPH
