On the car front I've found the handling seems even more influenced by better tyres etc on the rear than the front. You'll probably notice a big difference when you get the back shocks done too.

Yeah, was a good day out.

I see my dad at least twice a week, and on a Thursday he either cooks something (usually some home-made pasta, which he's very good at) at his place, and if it's a nice day, we sit outside under the pergola in his back garden and enjoy it, with a few glasses of wine, but this morning he phoned me up and said that as it was a nice day he'd like to go for a run somewhere.

So I took the opportunity to test out the new shocks and have some quality time with him. Yup, defo going to get the rear shocks Bilstein'd!

After a Service visit to my (not so) local Alfa dealer, had a cracked front spring?
9 yr old car, and figured the original Bilstein dampners may have lost some pressure, so when I had the brakes upgraded decided to do the suspension at the same time.
Full swap out of Bilstein/Eibach suspension bits n bobs, new lease of life for the car feels great.

Nice one. That's bound to have made a huge difference. So how are you lovin' the Alfa now you'd had a chance to get to know it better?

If not go and test drive one. Tis easy enough. But do it at the Porsche Experience at Silverstone. You need to learn how mid engines machines handle.

They are interestingly good cars and as an ex Mercedes owner for 13 years I think they are just better engineered. So do a lot of people TBH.

But hey the performance you have achieved is impressive for the spend.
