    Most fun I ever had on two wheels was my old Kawasaki H1F from 1975. A modified and truly mad 500cc two stroke triple with an engine note like nothing else on earth. That shrieking three cylinder wail was incredible. Mind you so was the fuel consumption, 25mpg! A set of Denco racing exhaust expansion chambers added to the formula. I gave it a port gas flow and advanced the port timing midly and it went like stink! It was quite fun trying to keep the front wheel on the deck whilst cutting through traffic, it was very prone to wheelies. I've ridden faster bikes since, but nothing as crazy!

    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Just got this little run-around as a 'shopping trolley'/workhorse for Del:














    It's TOTALLY minty inside and out! Not bad, I thought, for £1250 (my SPU costs more, lol ) with an MOT until Nov 2014 and taxed until June 2014, together with a full service history.

    Yesh, oi loikes a bargain - and not just with hi-fi either!!

    Turntable: Heavily-modified Technics SL-1210MK5G [Mike New bearing/ETP platter/Paul Hynes SR7 PSU & reg mods]. Funk Firm APM Achromat/Nagaoka GL-601 Crystal Record Weight/Isonoe feet & boots/Ortofon RS-212D/Denon DL-103GL in Denon PCL-300 headshell with Funk Firm Houdini/Kondo SL-115 pure-silver cartridge leads.

    Paul Hynes MC head amp/SR5 PSU. Also modded Lentek head amp/Denon AU-310 SUT.

    Other Cartridges: Nippon Columbia (NOS 1987) Denon DL-103. USA-made Shure SC35C with NOS stylus. Goldring G820 with NOS stylus. Shure M55E with NOS stylus.

    Cheers, dude. We're very pleased with it. It just shows the bargains you can find with cars if you're willing to put in the hours trawling through HUNDREDS of used car websites!!

    Still, it was worth it in the end! We set aside a max budget of £2k, and this has come in well within that, so the job's a good 'un
