Not indicating has been the fashion round here for years although indicating after performing the manoeuvre is now catching on too.

Doing 30 in a 40 zone is also traditional, you must be over 60 and in a small Japanese or Korean car*, pick a good dual carriageway in rush hour and just dawdle along, see how far you can get the tailback to stretch.

    * 20 years ago it would have been a Triumph Acclaim or a Rover 214, however today's participants are the now ageing sons of those original pioneers. They are unable to replicate the cars exactly due to them having rusted away in the intervening decades; consequently they have had to go to the far east manufacturers to find suitably uninspiring vehicular replacements, Daewoo are especially recommended.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

Won't work here mate, you can get right up behind them, flash your lights, beep at them, they won't even notice you are there.

Saw one just the other day, right behind him for ages, he finally gets to a roundabout and just sails across it without slowing down or looking right, misses a collision with a car already coming round by literally inches.

I notice everything around me when I'm driving and if some impatient sod wants to tailgate me, they can do it very slowly. I just shut the throttle and take the speed right down!

They usually get the message when you overtake, and then (safely) slow down in front of them to 5mph, so that this time YOU are holding THEM up. Then hold that position for a bit, and for watch their reaction in your rear-view mirror!

Then give them a nice big 'two-fingered salute'.... At the very least, you'll have got a giggle out of giving them a taste of their own medicine, and the satisfaction of having woken them up from their self-imposed stupor! [tee-hee].

Lol - it's not about tailgating, which is dangerous; it's about waking some doddery old fool out of his or her slumber, who's selfishly holding everyone else back, just because he or she has all the time in the world.

What's worse: impatience or pure selfishness?

Dunno if anybody else has noticed, but apart from 'white van man' most tailgaters seem to be women. Well around here anyway. That lack of spatial awareness thing I suppose.

I guess one more white van around here won't make any odds.
