check the trackday rules on that, marco. they might be a bit funny about handheld camera/ipads, etc. (so you can't time the laps).

with the mgs on track lot, a camera needs to be bolted to a rollcage (ie - NOT suction cupped to the dash).

[edit - I realise now that you are probably talking about filing from trackside, rather than in the car...]

I was thinking more about what the Brabster would look like in the rear view mirror of my Caterham.

Only kidding, but you will have your work cut out against any thing of a similar ilk, especially in the hands of really capable drivers. They will probably be running slicks or track day type tyres, so will have much more grip available than you.

If you were to "Race" me on the road, you would win quite easily. I just don't bother with that type of thing other than the occasional "traffic light Grand Prix" if I meet something interesting. There are too many risks involved.
It is behaviour best saved for the track.

In France I spend most of my time looking in the mirrors, as I have to go out with the single seaters unless on a club day.
It's no fun as they are seriously quick cars, mostly driven by amateur racing drivers on test days. The combination of driver and car is one far more capable than me and my 7. I think I am the limiting factor though.

A SuperSport running a tuned 1.8 VHPD engine with dry sump, Jenvey throttle bodies, Auto-Tecnix cold air feed airbox, Emerald K6 ECU and Freestyle inboard suspension shod with A048s.

    Pretty good fun.

    Lol... Love it

No idea how the Brabster would fare against your Catty, on a race track, so can't comment. It would be interesting finding out, though! In terms of the 'racing' I do on normal roads, it's mostly (like you do) "traffic light Grand Prix", or on empty motorways late at night, in dry/clear conditions. Had a nice one recently against an M3, and the bloke driving it was good.

Look, make no mistake, when I go to Oulton Park, I'll be arriving there as an amateur, having full respect for those with faster cars and greater driving ability than me. However, let's put it this way, I'm the type who, when it's appropriate to do so, *never* shirks a challenge, and when the 'gauntlet's down', has the nerve and determination to go places others may fear to tread, no matter if it's driving or anything else....

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

This new Beemer M760Li sounds like a Marco sort of car.
