    Cool beans, daftee...

Well, that was great fun. Just took the Brabster down the back roads to Nantwich - defo hugs corners even better now at speed, with no drifting whatsoever, and that's with giving it some! Even my dad, in the passenger seat, could feel the difference (himself an avid car enthusiast), and also in terms of the improved ride quality

We went for lunch to The Olde Barbridge Inn, just outside Nantwich: http://www.thebarbridgeinn.co.uk/#!

Lovely little pub next to a canal, where you can sit outside and watch the barges (and ducks) go by, whilst enjoying a lovely meal and some local ales, which we did! Nice relaxing outside in the warm sunshine, and it's a scorcher here today. It was touching 28C in the sun earlier!

Then after leaving the pub, we dropped into Snugburys ice-cream farm/parlour (two minutes down the road): http://www.snugburys.co.uk/

...and had a couple of large cones of superb home-made ice-cream, with two espressos, and sat outside and enjoyed them in their lovely old courtyard:

Nice wee day out, and a pre-Father's day treat for dad!

    Marco.

You have some nice places near you Marco. It's a fair drive for me to locate anywhere scenic. Glad your dad had a good day out.

Cheers, mate. Yes, I'm lucky to have so many nice places nearby, in Wales and Cheshire. That little pub is only 35 mins away in the car - and it's a lovely drive to get there!

This place is within walking distance: http://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/pantyrochain/

We often go there if we can't be bothered cooking, and especially now when we don't have a (usable) kitchen!

Very nice Marco. Are you going to work it all off with a 10 mile run tonight ?. Also, how far are you from Snowdonia, do you ever go there ?

Very nice Marco! That's my idea of a day out, especially the ice cream to finish

On the car front I've found the handling seems even more influenced by better tyres etc on the rear than the front. You'll probably notice a big difference when you get the back shocks done too.

P.S. that dude in the shades does NOT look impressed at you taking his photo

Ha - today it was more like 45 mins (fast speed) on an exercise bike!

Snowdonia is about an hour away, some parts a little closer, and yes we go there quite often. We were there a couple of weeks ago. The scenery, as you well know, is stunning!

Maybe we should have an AoS get-together at the canal pub, since it seems so popular?

Just caught up with this thread after a while.
Happy the Brabsters doing the business.

    Hear you on the Bilsteins?
After a Service visit to my (not so) local Alfa dealer, had a cracked front spring?
9 yr old car, and figured the original Bilstein dampners may have lost some pressure, so when I had the brakes upgraded decided to do the suspension at the same time.
Full swap out of Bilstein/Eibach suspension bits n bobs, new lease of life for the car feels great.

Fit n forget kinda guy nowadays, so not bothered about any tweaking going forward.

    Btw...Nice pokey hat Marco.
