Cheers, no wasn't hurt, though the biker that hit me was. Not my fault I hasten to add. Van in front of me turned right into the path of a bike coming the other way. Bike swerved to avoid him, clipped the back end of the van and veered across the road straight at me. I swerved to avoid a head on collision, he crashed into my rear quarter. Boor bugger broke most of his ribs on one side and a wrist and ankle, as all the damage to my car was caused by his body rather than the bike. Was a vintage 1959 Ariel too. Not a young bloke either, around 60.
Worst thing was, the van driver buggered off. Luckily, I have a dash cam, so they caught the twat. He's being done for dangerous driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
Yes the coupe is nice, very pokey and probably the quietest car I've driven, petrol or diesel. The tiptronic box suits it well. Bad point is the high road tax as you say..
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”
