    Looks like I was late to this party


    The other element is bands that were good and lost it along the way.
    I'm discovering why in some cases
    Supertramp were stunning live when they first came out on tour, just incredible.
    The first album wasn't as good. Fairly sure it was made before the tour where they honed their craft
    Then massive personnel changes

    James Gang - wonderful with Joe Walsh. Pointless without

    and in some cases were rubbish then got much better, examples escape me for now
