I have several pairs of these, not noticed much difference on stand or bookshelf, but the JPW Gold Monitor is very similar, main difference is the sweeter soft dome tweeter, very good really.

My pair are painted white and sit upon the newly fitted, well, last year anyway, kitchen cupboards to entertain me whilst I'm I there doing man stuff, like cooking!
