I've had dropouts occurring on a number of albums/tracks, which is frustrating.
Perhaps Spotify have underestimated the amount of server bandwidth they'd require, especially considering that they now operate in the USA.

    Dropouts..............dropouts........?

I'd kill to just have dropouts!

Try having it freeze every 6 or 7 tracks, and then power itself down, and have to wait for it to power itself up again at its own sweet speed!

    Chris,
    Quick simpleton question?

How do you reduce the bandwidth?

And the rest of AOS, am I the only one using Spotify that has encountered the aforementioned problem?

Look in plugins/Spotify/settings if you're using LMS, or look at settings at www.mysqueezebox.com if you're using TinySC.

Well I reduced it to 256, and as of yet, no problems......we'll see!
Thing is though, I believe the SQ is now only on par with Napster, or could that be my imagination?

I have installed Deezer, jut he simple version, and that does sound good, but I don't want to install the premium version until I ask if anyone here is/was using it, and your thoughts?

    Spoke to soon!
Reduced the bitrate down another notch to 192 now.

    Back to the drawing board.

Could it be a network / rubbish router / router setup issue ?

Lots of people use spotify on squeezebox and it usually works.

Don't think it's any of those Mark, Logitech know all about the problem it appears, and they told me to try hard wiring to the router, which due to a lack of an Ethernet cable I haven't yet done, and they also said lower the bandwidth, which I did, both to 256, then 192, and its just shutdown again!
It's now on 160, which is close to Napster quality.

Incidentally the SBT is showing 100% signal strength, and the router is a very decent Belkin N series with a digital display, and set me back over £100.
The SB is now displaying " incorrect password" on Spotify, but when I change to Napster, instant music!

Had pondered going for a Sonos device, and then noticed it too has problems with Spotify!

Earlier I had been warned against using Deezer as it was as high a bitrate as Spotify, but most Sonos users are not getting problems with it, so maybe the bitrate isn't responsible for the problems as had been suggested?
