I've not heard the Ovators in anger, but I've liked quite a few Naim speakers in the past, namely SBLs, NBLs, DBLs, Allaes and SL2s.
They're very much an acquired taste, and are far from neutral sounding, but if you like what they do, musically (in conjunction with Naim equipment), there are no other speakers to touch them.

Preamps: Heavily-modified Croft Charisma-X. LDR Stereo Coffee. Power Amps: Tube Distinctions Copper Amp fitted with Tungsol KT-150s. Quad 306.
Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.
Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.
Speakers: Tannoy 15MGs in Lockwood cabinets with modified crossovers. 1967 Celestion Ditton 15.

Ovators are more 'Naimie' than most of the earlier models and it depends on one's definition of 'High Fidelity' to the truth as to whether you like the recipe or not. They certainly look good, especially in very rich people's designer rooms and this is the market they're aimed at I think
