    Anyone seen UB40 live ?

    I have several recordings and they sound great , I can imagine they are quite amazing to hear live

    I saw them by accident years ago!
    They were on a bill at Wembley Stadium with Dylan and Santana - I thought they were crap, but back then I had rather low tolerance for that sort of music. They played Red Red Wine at least twice!

    If they only played signing off they would be ok.
    Once they became a cover type band i found them to annoying.
    Also his voice really grates me.

    They headlined Cropredy a couple of years ago. Not my cup of tea (except signing off as mentioned above) but nothing wrong with the performance. I seem to remember the live sound was good too, but then it always is at Cropredy.

    I assume you know the original singer is no longer in the band?
