    Default my first diy amp

    ok so i followed instructions and dont really know how it works
    although i have been doing a lot of reading on it
    and didnt know how to fix it when i only got sound out of one channel (had the power cap on left channel wrong way round )
    but... it works and i made it



    now i want to know how to make it better? any ideas?
    these are the bits

    1 x High Quality Dual Layer PCB, with Ground Plane.
    1 x 10K Pot with Built In Switch
    1 x OPA2134PA Op-Amp
    1 x 8 Pin Op-Amp Socket
    1 x TLE2426 Rail-Splitter
    2 x Panasonic FC 470uf 16volt Capacitors
    2 x 0.22uf Vishay/BC Capacitors
    9 x 1% Resistors for gain 11 or 4
    2 x Stereo Jack Socket
    1 x 9volt Battery Snap
    1 x 3mm Blue LED

    Nice little thing, I presume its one of those cmoy jobs?

    Not much to mod tbh, you could try another op-amp, one that works well on low voltages and has decent output drive

    I actually built one of these on vero ages ago, I'll see if I can find a pic

    Can't find the vero board one but heres another etched, the track was drawn witha marker pen

    no difference to be had by changing any of the other componants?
    these cmoy things are pretty limited are they?
    a mate of mine has offered to machine a case for it out of a block of anodised aluminium maybe in a funky purple colour. so i thought if i was going to get him to do that i might as well make it as good as possible first
