There's a nice snapshot of an SPU and the tonearm I use, too... Can anyone identify the turntable used for cartridge testing?
Marco.

Is it an 'Acoustic Solid' turntable?

It looks to me to have a very low profile - almost like it's built into the bench. The best view you get of it is at 2'23" and you can see a chrome cylinder like a suspension tower or mounting fixture.

There's a whole heap of Ortophon's videos on YouTube here including one of the coil winding ladies doing their early morning loosening-up exercises!!
Also watch them make their own rubber compound.
Two points;
1. Why is the narrator talking like that?
2. l would love to hear that A90- some serious technology going on there.

Nice. Very nice. Aesthetically, the near polar opposite of the SPUs.
Lyrics are the ramblings of man, sometimes inspired by The Creator, most often, not.
But music (melodies, harmonies, rhythms), that's God stuff.
Always was. Always will be.
One of the biggest lies ever told was that only certain kinds of people should listen to certain kinds of music.

No.....and I really do know better than that!
Indeed, which is why that, although I 'get' why people like how the A90 looks, it's the opposite of what tickles my aesthetic sensibilities (i.e. it ain't retro). Give me a nice fat, chunky, bad-boy 'needle' any day!
I also like it when cartridge leads are enclosed inside headshells, a la SPU, so that one simply sees a 'chunky block' over the record when it's spinning
