Hi from the Wye

Hi

I’m a recently registered newbie to the forum but in truth an oldie (bus pass eligible).

Based near the Wye Valley in south east Wales I’m primarily a VJ / Visual artist (hence the user id vjmashie) but one with long and undistinguished forays into audiophile territory (both for music production and home listening).

I have a modest studio with analogue gear, some of it broadcast spec (Quad, Rogers, Spendor) but most of it not quite, and find myself regularly drawn to the knowledge and opinions of forum members.

I’ve also succumbed to eBay addiction. Thirty years ago I would expect a system to last 8-10 years – now I turn equipment round on an increasingly (and no doubt unhealthily) frequent basis.

I’m looking forward to participating to the forum, and perhaps the occasional equipment trade too!
