Mate, doesn't matter which end you kick off from. The pointy end is as good as the blunt end.

Bought myself a minty mint Technics SL1200 MK2, from Audio Al on the forum, which came with an A&R Cambridge P77 cart. The TT is 'just' a stock MK2 but my goodness what a sound from it.

The last two TT's (Rega P3 & AR XE) I've had don't even get close to these things.

I've ordered two new Technics headshells so once those arrive I'll get the SAE up and running but in the meantime I'm really enjoying listening to vinyl again.

Oh, you are in for a lot of fun Tony. Congratulations on acquiring an SL1210, as near to fit and forget as you are ever going to get with a TT IMHO...

Thanks Dave, it really is fantastic, I'm actually amazed at how good it sounds.

The turntable is a credit to the previous owner, it's basically brand new.

Hi guys got the SAE 1000LT set up and boogying, sounds great to my ears much better than any previous cart I've heard in my system and it's brand new just out of the box so looking forward to when it reveals itself in all it's glory
