If twere mine i'd name it Touchwood in honor of Catwheasel's pet toad.

    Seems sensible enough.

I've been trying to come up with a name for the phono amps I will be making.

    I quite like NEMESIS.
It could stand for 'Never Even Mention Edgy Semiconductor Inferior Sound', or maybe that's a bit naff.
Trouble is every attractive name I can think of has been used by an audio manufacturer or has some connection with audio/audio software. Even Nemesis has been used.

So a different tack, what about anagrams? I've come up with TOON CRAFT.
There is a tongue in cheek 'reference' to well know kit in there, can you guess what it is?

I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

    On a semi serious note......

AVE which means 'to be well' as in Ave Maria and all that so there is a musical connection. (Origin: 1200 - 50 Middle English. Latin imperative 2nd singular of avere)

Plus it stands for Alan's Valve Engineering

    or..... Firebottle Alan's Valve Engineering....

I quite like that Gordon, AVE

    Short but with musical connection.

(Origin: 1200 - 50 Middle English. Latin imperative 2nd singular of avere) That's a bit high brow for me.
I should have opted for Latin not German at school, hated German.
