Spent some time after this post last night with the circuit from both the MKII and 5 and made some notes.

If I'm going to post about it, I want to make sure its accurate

    Hi Ian

As mentioned in my PM I'd be very keen to have the the board recapped as well, providing I have the ability to get it out! My TT is virtually brand new but I presume it may still benefit?

    Thanks

NO! My deck was 20+ years old, do you really need new caps??

    Probably not!

There should be nothing wrong with my caps as such but perhaps wrongly I got the impression that standard electronics were being upgraded.

I know nothing of electronics/circuit boards etc and just thought there might be components in there that could be swapped out for more expensive varieties to achieve a sonic gain.

    Thanks

Not always. You need to define what the caps are going to do. Dont jump in blind. I'm sure other posters will explain what the benefits of changing the cap values on the PCB should be.

I will be taking the PCB out at the weekend and put my trust 100% in the person who is doing this. Got to take a risk at some point
