Analog guy excited about digital, again.

This is not new info. I just haven't read about it here before.

I have nothing but praise for the TASCAM DV-RA1000HD and have found 24/192 recordings to be miles ahead of.... lower resolutions, enough said. My wish list for it was short... 5.6MHz DSD recording. Only single rate 2.8MHz DSD is available on the TASCAM. 5.6MHz DSD is available on the KORG MR-2000S, albeit without a built in optical disc burner/player. At last, now, here is a standalone solution if one wants to record to the KORG unit. The files can be ported over to a PC, a DVD (with 5.6MHz DSD files) can be burned, apparently, and then played back on this TEAC unit. The thought of making double-rate DSD recordings of my LP's and then playing them back without the use of a computer in my main system has me salivating again.
