    Default Speaker Cable

Can anyone give me some good suggestions for reasonably priced speaker cable or recommend cables they have used and have found them to be a worthwhile investment. I have been looking for some time now and obviously with sooo much stuff out there with so many reviews its difficult to see the wood for the trees. I am a bit of sceptic but do believe improvements can be made although it could be each cable just colours the sound in a different way.

    Any suggestions would be great.

Hi James - give us a bit more to go on - your "reasonably priced" could be "stratospheric" for others - what's the rough budget, and how much do you need (lengths)?

I would have to recommend Mark Grant's cables and Mogamo cables. Having heard more expensive cables I can't justify the greater cost. Usually try and send back if you don't like them so I would at least start here. Give them at least 100 hours to burn in before making your decision.

Van Damme.. Very good, going to try the 6mm core stuff soon. Mark Grant sells and terminates it.

The Van Damme 4mm LC-OFC stuff is excellent for long runs... Price is great too.

+1 for the Van Damme Cable - I use the 4mm Professional Blue Series Studio Grade, extremely well made and robust, used by the pros, very neutral and above all affordable.

Sold by Mark Grant terminated or loose (recommended), also from Amazon. I would try MG first though who is a trusted member here and I have had nothing but good service from Mark in the past.

I like Supra Rondo 2x2.5 or 4x2.5, Kimber 4PR is very decent too.
