Default headphone extension cable reccys please

I'm using a pair with only a metre of cable and so looking for an extension cable to give me a little more freedom of movement.
I found an old 3 metre one in the loft but was dismayed by the drop in sound quality....it was a fairly heavyweigh old bit of wire with steel plugs though so I wasn't expecting miracles. The phones are B&W P3's and will be driven by a Musical Fidelity HP1 headphone amp ).
I've seen the R Andrews ones but I really think £700 is a little excessive for my needs !!
Anyone recommend a decent male to female cable then please ?
    Totally wired.......

If you don't want to build one I can whole haertedly recommend this one as the best cable on earth for the money.

Thats more the sort of thing. ten feet is plenty and a more realistic price.
I'll be on the case directly.
    Thanks a million .

I belive this is a U.S. made cable,It is still a bargain even with the extra postage.
Even shipping in the U.S. would be around $20.00 unless sent U.S. mail.
Shipping has gone way up here in the last year.
Keep in mind it is built to last a lifetime, warranted and you will never feel a need to upgrade.

You don't say whether you are looking for 3.5mm or 6.3mm

    Grado make one:

    iFi ZEN Stream/TV/CXC >> RME ADI2 DAC >> XTZ Edge A2-300 >> Rogers LS8a

I had a Grado extension and was not impressed .
    It is far from ideal.
Not a very smooth sounding cable.

    Sorry guys....3,5 m would be fine .
I do find the grado's just a tad on the bland side to be honest. So if the cable is of a similar signature it may just be second choice to the ' sonically invisible ' one. Thanks though.
