    Default Hi from Devon

My main listening system is PC based running into a Abrahamsen V6 DAC to HE-6 headphones via a Primare 100W dual mono amp

In the near future I hope to upgrade the amp to a Class A ( maybe First watt ?) and get a balanced pre amp

The dining room system was a budget challenge and ended up as an HK630 feeding Mission 760ise (for under £20)

Musical tastes vary from Joss Stone, through Trance, Whitesnake,to Classical Organ

Hello David and welcome to AoS

I've never heard of your DAC but the Primare kit is nice.

the company http://www.abrahamsenaudio.no/ is run by the guy who used to run Electrocompaniet (and the V6 is similar to the ECD-1, though sounds better and was cheaper!)

I believe they have stopped production of the A series to make way for new models

    Pic of the V6:

    Thanks for that, David.

Yes, I recognise the Electrocompaniet 'house styling'! I've always rated their equipment - definitely one of my favourite manufacturers of solid-state equipment. I also like Primare and Densen kit - all the Danish stuff sounds great

So how much is the V6?

nice one, spent a week in compton some years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it
ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around

Learn from everyone, that's what life is for

    I think I paid £260 new

It has balanced connections (which are superb) but the USB input is not that good - I use an Audio-gd DI for that

Hi David, Welcome to AoS from me too.
I just had a quick look at the Abrahamsen website and was interested to see that they're marketing what looks like an updated version of the original Electro power amp. It looks rather nice too.
