IMHO it's evidence of 'Rip Off Britain' - the USA retailers are obliged to agree with the big manufacturers not to sell to Britain so as to preserve their very profitable high margin market. Bl**dy disgusting but big business rules!! .

    My System:
Power: Belkin PF40, Custom.hifi.cables Hydra and DC PSUs.
Sources: Self built HTPC with Xonar ST sound card, NAD T585 multi disc player, Sony BDP-S350, Squeezebox Touch, Techncs SL1210 (mod'd) + Nagaoka MP30, Thomson Sky HD box.
    Amps etc.: 2 x Mini-T amps, MF-X10D Valve buffer clone, StanDAC 7520/Caiman (mod'd).
Speakers: Mission 774s with added super tweeters
Cables: best I can afford and likely to change except Homar's RF attenuated co-ax's and Mark Grant USB and HDMI cables. I also like silver i/cs and speaker cable.

Indeed. I've bought loads of stuff from ebay sellers (and elsewhere) in the US, who advertise publically as not shipping goods to the UK.

All it took, however, was sending them a polite message, where the appropriate shipping costs were agreed, and one look from the seller at my feedback profile on ebay, and it was goods away!

You may have a valid point in general, Dave, about the exporting situation to the UK, but in my experience, if you want to buy something from a seller on ebay, anywhere in the world, if you fulfil their specific requirements, 9 times out of 10, you'll get what it is you want

These are glass cored, I've had one in use for years without any problems & seems to sound okay... Bit late I know but thought it may be of interest.

Is the Sky box still set to Dolby Digital?
You need to set the output to PCM.

Lifatech is introducing an entirely new Tolsink cable.
Some how the lock up and alignment will be far improved over the standard Tolsink.
Keep in mind this company makes most of it's cables for the medical industry so there standards are pretty high.
Expect to see the new cables in 60 to 90 days as they are in the final stages of development.
