CDs help make my life a bore.
Ive been buying CDee's for longer than i realised. Buying CDee's are easy, you can access some mega rare stuff cheap, never liked the sound of em but kinda blinkered to that. Since ive started re-building a vinyl collection, the excitement i used to have about buying a record comes flooding back, i get all excited again..Funny what you take for granted..

Funny thing is ive heard vinyl on some really top notch system, they sound just a shyte as CD to my ears hence playing vinyl on mi towd gear is like heaven.

I can honestly appreciate your point of view, and fully agree. I must add though, for me it equally fun to get a hold of new ceedee's as LP's. I never play them back though, only rip them correctly once and put them away.
Then i play them by the album digitally using only an old school remote for selections!
To me it comes down to a combination of the tactile experience and the resulting pleasure from music.
I get as much goosebumps from my budget system as i do from my friends £200.000 High End equipment. Yes, his stuff sounds a lot better and i can clearly hear the floorboards on the stage creak when Patricia Barber struts her stuff... I get more emotional bout the music in my own equipment though!

Hmm... I have emotional connections with music via MP3, bad cassette, weak radio stations, scratched up vinyl, 64kbp mono DAB.
It's the music that has the emotional connection, for me anyway..

Well Andre...if you want you could sell all the unessential ones and buy more and more fuzzys. I for one would be interested in some of your collection mate. I love cd's if I'm honest but also have a soft spot for fuzzys.

I hate to disagree, but I like CD. I have vinyl too and enjoy it. They are just different.
Best CD I've heard was a friend's Mark Levinson player (model 39?) and processor driving a pair of active ATC SCM 100 speakers, it sounded quite amazing.
