    Default Matching SUTs and carts

My current phono stage is MM only (WAD Phono 2) but I'd like to experiment with a few MC carts. From what I've read, matching SUTs to a cart is critical, so presumably a generic SUT won't really let me hear the potential of different MC carts. What can I use to experiment, without changing SUTs with every cart?

I've picked up a Denon 300LC to get me started with a DL301Mk2, and will probably be on the hunt for a 103R at some stage as well. Not sure what I'll end up with eventually, though! Would a Puresound T10 (Mk2) be more versatile? Anything else I should be on the lookout for?

    The AU-300LC is versatile enough
As long as you don't need more output, you don't need a different SUT.

While in standard form, it's a perfect match for the DL-103 (higher impedance than 103R).
You can tune it by loading it's secondaries with resistors.

    110kOhm when using the DL-301II.
33kOhm when using the DL-103R. (don't worry about signal loss, the 103R has more output than the manual states)

    Thorens TD 160 / TP16 / Stanton 681SE
