    Default Some of my stuff.

Thought I'd share my main system as it stands at present (well a few week ago). Latest addition Albedo Monolith silver cables. Also have a tube buffer I'm experimenting with between dac and pre. Hope you like.

Thanks for the positive comments. I'll post some TT pics later today. I've paired down on the TTs - I had Thorens 150, 160B, Garrard 401 and Michell i a 4 TT set up at one time. Now have the Michell, a Beogram 3300 with MMC1 and a Lenco GL75 project in the loft

    Hi Robert,

Welcome to AoS! What a nice system you have

You're the first person I've seen who uses the sublime ECS preamp and EA1 monoblocks, both of which (particularly the latter) I've used in my system to excellent effect.

Anyone who likes 'kick ass' power amps should hear the EA1s, with their 1500VA transformers a piece. I can imagine that yours is a very good system indeed. Where did you hear of the ECS kit? Unfortunately, it's not too well known.

    Marco.

No true ECS is very much under the radar for even seasoned hifi enthusiasts but a very friendly HiFi dealer let me borrow the stereo version of the power amp. At the time I was looking for something with the welly to drive the SL3s. After hearing the stereo amp I had to have the monos. The guys from ECS drove them up from London and later the pre amp. It is a pretty good system, with incredible detail, texture and slam - a good combination.

Nice one, Robert. I used to know the guys at ECS pretty well. I forget what the main guy's name was, whom I used to deal with (was it Ajaz, or something like that?) Like you say, they're always very helpful and more than up for doing a good deal for cash!

The guys I dealt with are Manoj and Reuben - really nice guys. You're right Marco they are open to doing you a good deal and delivering to Stockport from London and installing is no small thing either. Impressive.
