Yes, of course, & I do remove it for proper critical listening.

However, I live in a 250 yr old stone cottage, with 2 wood burning fireplaces & a 5 yr old on-going renovation project!!!!!

We've got a whole lot of dust, David..............a lotta dust!!!!
