    Default Interconnect showdown

Just assembled an array of mg goodies....

    1500 spec

    trico/wtb silver ( usually used as a digital connection - v/link - dac)

    Eichmann silver bullet/mg

well, had a wee play- initially through cans and then my rig......in my set up/room/system/cans- the supra/wtb silver connection as a pair of interconnects come out on top by a margin.
on headphones they are more open and show more ability to separate vocals.

I had a niggling doubt they would make a great stereo pairing....it has proved correct.

Umm... that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense Tony. Do you think you could elaborate a bit - perhaps in full sentences?

Okae Dokae....half pished posting doesnae help!!!!!

What I did was compare a pair of mark grant Trico/wtb silver, utilising them as interconnects- against a pair of mark grant 1500 spec interconnects with the neutric connectors.
The final pair were Mark Grants with Eichman silver bullets.

Might have to mention that I just swapped out one of tricos as my v link to dac connection replacing it with a mark grant oyaide/eichman silver bullet job.

The listening was done with the cables between my MF m1 dac and the MF hpa with hd 650s....my front end can snuffle out harshness better than a French truffle pig, the pipe and slippers hd 650 work very well with them.

The main rig is two kel 84 valve mono blocks with quad 63s again a nice synergy with the potentially jaggy front end.
Well as I tried to say half canned, the two trico/wtb cables edged ahead on detail and space, slightly more depth and did a better job at deciphering vocals.

The 1500s are great cables in they're own right but outclassed in this fight.

My final reckoning has left the trico pairing between dac/pre and the mg silver bullet pair between pre and power.

the digi cable still needs a few hours on it to show its best....we shall see !
