“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".
“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

It took me over a year to get used to my iPhone, at which point it died. It wasn't new, and not worth repairing. The Missus bought me a replacement, made by Alba and it's awful! Alarm works sometimes, ringtones seem to change on a daily basis (currently text messages are announced with a lengthy AC/DC sample). The touch screen is sometimes unresponsive, but I think it may be down to dry hands. If I lick my fingertip first, it seems to like that.

I'm Paul.
Work issued me with a new iphone 6 with 128 GB when I started the job. Not was I very grateful I also learnt that for my next phone I definitely do not want another iphone.

After watching some of those Channel 5 programmes (the ones that make you want to throw stuff at the TV, I'm talking about the benefits programmes, like "28 kids, and trying for another"), I've decided that the smarter the phone, the dumber the user.
I may be the exception to this theory. Couple of weeks ago I tried using the Sat Nav to find an address, and drove round in circles for over an hour before I realised it was just displaying my position on a map, not the destination. If I knew how to get the sim card out of it, I swear I would have launched that piece of crap out of the window
That's given me a good laugh this morning.
I've recently bought an inexpensive smartphone, an Alcatel A3 XL for £125 sim free.
Might not be the fastest out there but excellent on all other counts.
