New Cumnock is the village I go into if I take the wrong exit off the Dettingen roundabout, but regular Cumnock, on Afton Water, is one of the many villages dotted along one of my favourite biking roads form Dumfries to Ayr. Tip: if you come across a chippy called Frankies (might be in Coylton or Sanquhar), avoid their pies, they seem to be deep-fried.Lol... I know; I've been at some of the grounds!
