I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I had my Harman Kardon Amp fixed today by Jez Arkless. He was a pleasure to deal with, asking nothing up front and carrying out quite a few repairs to it in just a couple of hours. What was a very sick amp this morning is now singing happily in my living room this afternoon. I'm well impressed and will undoubtedly use and recommend Jez in future. If I need a phono stage in future, his will be top of my list. Very much appreciated.

For some reason Mike later decided the amps were not for him, and knowing I had expresed an interest in them, offered me first refusal; an offer I gratefully accepted.

They are excellent, both sonically and cosmetically. There is a little more work I want to do on them: convert the single ended input to a is balanced input; and to reduce the sensitivity to 1V for full output. It had always been an intention of mine to monoblock a pair of 405-2s, as well as upgrade them to Keith Snook's final level. The hard work (and more) has already been done for me by Duncan!

So again thank you Mike (and thank you Duncan).
Thanks to you too Barry; a pleasant and totally painless transaction. The mono's are very good and I am glad they have gone to somebody who will really appreciate them
