The Tacima is a good unit, and it usually takes a much dearer unit to better it, however, a few months ago there were deals on a Belkin unit, that had the same innards as its dearer cousin the PF 30.

Unfortunately the supply seems to have dried up and the price of about £55 ish is the going rate as opposed to about a quarter of that, but, most if not all that bought one agreed its superiority to the Tacima, so for a few quid more you get a better unit.

    Brian,
Just out of interest, how does the Belkin sound,I tried the tacima in my set up last week and found it to kill the dynamics quite noticeably.Works fine on the telly and surround/blue ray but not so great on the hi fi. I use a poverty spec ikea jobbie that to my ears just does its job....with a wankie fuse mind!!!!
Does it change the sound one way or another.....
    All the best, Tony.

Hi mate , it is a fair bit better than the Tacima . However I am at present using a home made block with Mark Grant cable and Deoxit treated MK sockets all wired using heavy duty mains cable and a Furutech gold-plated plug . To my ears this is better than anything I had previously used . As with everything else these blocks seem to be system dependent as some swear by the Tacima .
