I clearly didn't read the thread name properly

Of the albums I've chosen, the 5 I most listen to would be:

    Def Leppard - Hysteria
    Elton John - Greatest Hits
    The Script - The Script
    James Taylor - Hourglass
Streamer: NovaFidelity X40, Turntable: Rega RP3, Arm: Rega RB303, Cartridge: Audio Technica AT120E, Amp: Belles Aria, Loudspeakers: Quadral Aurum Montan VIII, Rack: Creaktiv Trend 1, Cables: Beresford, Chord, Coherent, MCRU, Rega, TCI.

Actually, what Tim was getting at when he started the thread was that he wanted to know in absolute terms those albums you have played most since you've been playing albums. So most played in your life, not just now.
......so go on then Paul, have another go at it!

Duly corrected Chris, definitely struggling with this one lol

They wouldn't be far off my last list!

    Def Leppard - Hysteria
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
    Elton John - Greatest Hits
Mark Knopfler - Sailing to Philadelphia
Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells II

    Very enjoyable theme this.

I too love Mary Black and Elton John and Dire Straits.

It's hard to whittle down your favourites. But Fleetwood Mac's eponymous album has gotta be one. Here's Stevie Nicks singing "Rhiannon":

Jackson Browne's tribute to Darryl Hannah "In the shape of a heart" on "Lives in the Balance" is one of the rockiest albums I have ever heard too:

We were fond of closing the Bedford College (London) Disco with the Doors "Riders on the Storm" from the famous LA Woman album:

It was not unknown for Al Stewart to rock along to Bedford College Folk Club and do his thing. Was ever a better song than "Year of the Cat" ever penned?

Finally, and yes, I am showing my age, but Jon Anderson was a hell of a singer in his Yes days. "The Friends of Mr Cairo" is a stunning later record:

    Enjoy.

    Probably...

    Split - The Groundhogs
Thank Christ For The Bomb - The Groundhogs
    Abbey Road - The Beatles
Rumor & Sigh - Richard Thompson
Bridge of Sighs - Robin Trower

.. but I wouldn't put my house on it. I'm sure the Ramones debut album could be in there too.

    .
I like everything really. From the britpop bands like UB40 right back to classic rock, like Wings. They're only the band the Beatles could have been.

Seal - Seal (really for track 9 Violet) got to be IMO one of the most cleverly put together tracks of the last 20 years. Played to death!
    Steely Dan - Gaucho
    Donald Fagen - Nightfly
    Fourplay - Fourplay
    Anything by Lee Ritenour

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
