My denon dvd-a1xva lately refuses to play most sacd,though not all,although it is okay with cd,dvd and dvd-audio.Some sacd play but some won't recognize
and was thinking to take the unit apart and give the optics a cleaning. Is this something easy?Am i going to have easy access to the optics or does this involves too much hussle? Advise needed

I had a similar problem with my Pioneer player. Cleaning the lens did not help. When I opened up the player, I found that a small amount of dirt had built up on the rails that the laser mechanism moves on, thus preventing it moving to its closest point to the centre properly. Since removing this dirt it has worked perfectly with all discs (previously it only played SACD as CD).
