I like the idea of my own custom made covers-my friend of 40 years makes leather stuff-the belt I'm wearing.......so nice soft chamois (I've had stored for over 30 yrs!) will be good.

Liking my new drum alot and listening to a lot of music these days!
However, i like headphones also. Actually most of my music is provided through the ’phones.
I have a small collection of headphones which was expanded the other day!

And these are truly amazing! Right up there with the absolutely best personal audio.
They are Focal Utopia and if you get the opportunity, have a listen!

so they should be too.. about 3 and half grand lol.. look good tho

While i’m at it! I recently sold my trusty Michell Orbe SE, with a Technoarm and Benz Wood SL. My intent was to research a new vinyl spinner, and some time in the fall or so go hunting for a new prospect. As it happens, my friend decided to put an order in for the new Technics SL-1000 which meant his olde gal had to go.
I was quite easily convinced to give her a new home as i really liked what it did in his rig!

AMG Viella (or V12) with the 12J2 12” tone arm and a HRS base.
While i really liked most things the Orbe SE did, this is a completely different animal.

I am a very happy bugger!

Not for me -I sold all my vinyl about 2 years ago.
Just have a token few; Bob Marley 'Catch a fire' (original 'Zippo' cover) . Santana 'Lotus', again with original super fold-out cover .....plus Them 'Story of Them' single. V.rare....

Beautiful ‘table! Most impressive. How is it driven? I don’t see a motor, is it Direct, or hub? Or is it hidden in this pic?

Russell, it is belt driven with a moderately powerful DC motor. The drivetrain is hidden from sight, ultraviolet light and dust beneath the very heavy platter. The belt is mounted using a simple but effective jig and a couple of wood blocks, quite low tech but still very effective.

One of the other things this particular about this spinner is that the spindle is not part of the bearing, so when lifting the 12kg platter off the spindle comes with it. Beneath is what they call a subplatter but is more like a massive bearing house about 3” in diameter.

Most quiet table i have experienced!

That's a rather sexy turntable, Mike. An excellent left-field choice, sir!

Love how it's been engineered, and most of all the rather modest footprint it has for a high-end turntable... Once of my pet hates is the huge amounts of space some turntables take up these days

Give me dinky and effective, as opposed to bulky and such, everyday!
