    STEELY DAN: Aja.

I'd love to hear the drums on the title track on a state of the art system. Sounds good on mine but I can imagine on a really top rig it would be incredible.

Some I think are particularly good:

Eric Bibb - most of his releases are great but the Opus recordings are spectacular.
    Nick Cave - Boatman's Call
    James Taylor - Hourglass
Mike Oldfield's recent reissues, and the original Songs of Distant Earth
Thomas Dolby - A Map of the Floating City
    ----------------------
Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you do - you'll be a mile away. And have his shoes.

Wavy grooves go thru a RigB 540ML on an SL1500C. Digits stream from a cheapie CDP and a Sonos, into a Yamaha 803D driving Kralk Audio little 'uns. I used to have a Linn but I'm better now.

Indeed. It also contains one of the best system tests for deep bass, I've heard, in 'Nadia'.

Play that track, turn the volume up to some silly level, and when the bass-line kicks in (frequently), if you can't feel its visceral intensity, almost dislodging your intestines, then either your system is shite or you need bigger speakers!!
